Girona 2-3 Eibar

A topsy-turvy game at Montilivi saw Eibar pick up all three points for the first time away from home this season. Charles had put the Basque side ahead from the penalty spot before a quick-fire Christian Stuani brace turned the game on its head.

Anaitz Arbilla’s header in first-half stoppage time draw the scores level before Sergi Enrich notched a looping header of his own to ensure the points went back home with the visitors.

Getafe 0-1 Levante

Enis Bardhi’s second-half free kick was enough to secure Levante their second win on the bounce in La Liga. The Macedonian’s strike broke the deadlock on the hour mark before Getafe frustration boiled over in injury time with Francisco Portillo seeing red.

Atletico Madrid 1-0 Real Betis

Valencia 1-1 Barcelona

Barcelona are now four games without a win in La Liga and surrendered their top spot with more dropped points at the Mestalla. Ezequiel Garay gave Los Che the lead after just two minutes before Lionel Messi drove the ball into the back of the net from the edge of the area 20 minutes later.

The hosts have now drawn five of their last six games in the league and are still yet to pick up a La Liga win over Barcelona at home in over 10 years. The pressure mounts on Ernesto Valverde’s side, who will hope the international break can bring a fresh start going into some key fixtures.
